La Madonne Children's Home in Les Cayes, Haiti
La Madonne is home to more than 700 children living in
poverty stricken Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. More than just a
shelter for abandoned, neglected and orphaned children, the orphanage offers the street
children of Haiti a safe, clean place to sleep as well as clothing, nutritious food,
medical attention, basic education and vocational training. It also offers these children
something much more valuable; the opportunity to make a very real difference in their own
future and a chance to stop the vicious cycle of poverty and despair. For more information
